I Hate Systems

Chapter 418: Dullin: Bad Luck System Host

"Wha…what the…?" Dullin was surprised when a pair of legs choked his neck, sending him reeling into the water when a mysterious power seemed to be damaging through his body, searing through his skin before continuing forth with the muscles within.

"You have a tough defence. But, you still need to breathe, right?" Compass Carburettor grunted, using the slipperiness of the floor to slide over Dullin, constricting his joints while choking him, all while immersing his head underwater.

As the floor was slippery, Dullin didn\'t get much opportunity to escape, failing to find a solid footing to throw Compass Carburettor off.

\'No way am I letting you escape.\' Compass Carburettor grunted, tightening his hold while trying his best to stay on Dullin\'s back, doing everything he could to ensure Dullin\'s sense of suffocation continued to escape.

\'If it\'s bad luck you control, then the moment I let up, it\'ll be hard for me to gain an advantage over you again.\' Compass Carburettor thought, able to feel his innate luck continuing to drop at an alarming pace.

He was pretty much expending his Luck to combat Dullin. So, he didn\'t have a second chance to take any advantage over his opponent.

Roar!

The Claw Wolf howled, trying its best to assist him. But from the start, the moment Dullin made his appearance, it had been rendered helpless, unable to budge from its spot. It constantly slipped, plopping to the ground nonstop.

Dullin\'s bad luck had affected the Claw Wolf, leaving it to slowly accumulate injuries despite it having not traded blows even once until now. But, when it slipped, it skid and slammed into the rock pillar, being mildly injured as a result. And this happened dozens of times.

It didn\'t have enough luck to fight against a System Host, especially one that dealt with bad luck, affecting everyone around him. So, there was a good chance that even before it arrived to his help, it would die.

And even if it did manage to arrive on time, it would only hinder him in this situation. That was why Compass Carburettor fought alone. And that wasn\'t all. It could only accompany him until 300 metres from the central rock pillar. It had attained its limit there.

So, even if he sought for its help, he had to reach the location where it was able to move at.

Besides, he wasn\'t sure if its claws and jaws would damage him when his energy blade sword failed to even scratch him.

\'Drowning is the only option. His armour is tough, but he\'s only human.\' Compass Carburettor gritted his teeth, exerting all his strength as he probed through Dullin\'s armour, suddenly thinking of something as he grabbed hold of Dullin\'s right arm and rolled over to the left with all his bodyweight.

Crack!

"Ahhhh!" Dullin screamed as his right arm had been broken. The joints were the one to give out. After all, even though the armour protected him, it was only useful against attacks. The armour was no different from hardened skin.

That meant that they stretched at the joints to facilitate the movement of his limbs just like a regular human\'s. Him punching or slashing at those spots wouldn\'t do anything, but what about an attack that targeted his internal, one unprotected by this armour of his?

"Huhhh, damn you!" Dullin grunted in pain as his right arm became useless. He shouted in pain, losing strength as he had been choked for long. And when Compass Carburettor destroyed his right arm, he had to let go of his hold over him.

And in that moment, Dullin instinctively raised his head above the water, opening his mouth to gasp for air.

"Now!" Compass Carburettor bellowed, grabbing the energy blade nearby to plunge it into Dullin\'s opened mouth, penetrating it deep into his throat, causing blood to gush out as a result. "Try to struggle now, dammit!"

While they were in a deadlock before, Compass Carburettor slowly began to lean in one direction from time to time, causing Dullin to move in that direction while trying to evade from his hold. And the direction he was guided towards was where he had swatted the energy blade sword away before.

Only when it was almost in reach had Compass Carburettor decided to break Dullin\'s arm. Of course, with him being choked for a long time already by the water, Dullin failed to notice his plans.

Crack!

While Dullin shouted in shock, Compass Carburettor moved in to destroy the left arm too, suddenly slipping while he rolled out when Dullin got up in rage. The fall was abrupt as Compass Carburettor slammed into the water, causing his head to slam into a rock that was jutting out there for some reason.

Unluckily for him, his head armour came off during the previous clash, causing the rock to slam into him. Even though his Mental Energy Body Layer absorbed most of the harm, the impact was still too fast for some reason, causing him to blank out for a couple of seconds.

"Damn bastard! I\'ll kill you!" Dullin got up, unable to move his hands as he gazed at Compass Carburettor, grinning, "You should have exhausted your innate luck by now. From now on, you\'ll be completely influenced by my bad luck."

Stomp!

Dullin raised his leg high up and brought it crashing down on Compass Carburettor, creating a dull sound as a result, "I was expecting some damage. Pah! But you\'ll die now!"

Dullin coughed out the energy blade, speaking despite coughing out blood in the process. His throat was mostly gone, barely able to leak out some words. But despite that, he talked nonstop while stomping on Compass Carburettor\'s head, "Die! Die! Die!"

His face turned bloody over time as Compass Carburettor was unable to see anymore.

"Die!" Dullin bellowed as he stomped once again with all his might, causing the deer mask to crack before shattering.
